I thought of this assignment as more a challenge than I had hoped. I felt uninterested at first because I didn't have a clue about what I was going to write. Getting started was the hardest part for me. Once I got started it seemed like a breeze. I am pretty happy with the paper I am handing in but I felt like there was more I could have added to my paper. I thought I should have been more descriptive about the stories of my life and how that helped me into becoming a literate person.
I thought my writing went well except I had to re-arrange and change a couple things around. I had difficulty deciding where to put a sentence and how it all fits in with the rest of my paper. I read my paper over and over again to find out how to make my sentences make sense. I think the next time I write my paper I should spend more time reviewing what I wrote so that I can have less flaws.
What was the most helpful tool of all was the peer review. It really helped in writing my paper to improve and get useful advice from. I got great ideas from the peer reviews and found out what I should work on in my paper. The comments really helped decide what I should write more or less about.

Excellent. I'm glad the peer review was helpful to you and to many of your classmates as well.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, there's nothing "wrong" with having to change things around to make sure they make sense. All writers do this! The best ones do it a lot.
ReplyDeleteWe expect things to come out perfect, and that's a false picture of how writing really works. Sounds to me like you're just fine.
